A reviewer suggested removing the term "mystery meat" as this may be slang, and suggested substituting "invisible anchor." We decided to stay with the term "mystery meat" to refer to anchors that do not readily show the destination. This term is attributed to Vincent Flanders' WebPagesThatSuck.com [87], and is increasingly used in web design style guides and advice sites.

Invisible anchors, on the other hand, usually refer to an invisible anchor at the top of a page that skips the standard navigation menus. These anchors are used to ensure that readers with JAWS or other accessible readers don't have to wade through the standard navigation on every page to get to the content.

Thus we changed the term from "invisible anchors" to non-distinguished anchors. We are also separating non-distinguished anchors that can be readily found from non-distinguished anchors that are hidden from the reader.
